Operation Highjump: The Forbidden Truth of Admiral Byrd’s Antarctic Retreat

In 1947, Admiral Richard E. Byrd led a massive fleet of 4,700 men to Antarctica for "Operation Highjump." It was supposed to be a six-month scientific survey. Instead, the entire expedition retreated after just eight weeks following reports of heavy, unexplained losses.

Upon his return, Byrd gave a chilling warning to the press, stating that the United States must prepare for the possibility of an invasion by craft that could "fly from pole to pole with incredible speed."

Was the US Navy encountering a breakaway civilization or ancient "hardware" reactivating deep within the ice? The official reports remain classified, but the fragments we have suggest that Antarctica is not just a continent, but a guarded gate to a history we aren't supposed to know.
